I was having the same problems. It still happens to me on occasion, but not nearly as bad as it was.
I think my problem was related to my wireless router. I was using the cheap one that my ISP provided, but I added in a D-Link wireless router. This seemed to clear up the problem for the most part. It has happened to me only a couple of times lately, where before it would happen almost every time.
