Thankyou Ratat0skr and everyone for working out what is causing the issue. Who’d thought Avast would create such a strange problem.

    Ratat0skr:
I’ve only just now got a message to download SP1, which I’ve started to do. The share works fine with XBMC on a Xbox console, as well as other computers on the network.

I also tried rolling back using the ‘update’ to version 1.1.1. Unfortunately this did not resolve the issue, which is making me think that it’s not WiiMC related but perhaps a IOS or Wii issue? My wii is a PAL version 4.2E

I don’t have a NAS, but wondering what are you using for “Share Name” in WiiMC? I would guess that it should be set to a name of a directory in the root of the NAS?

Like in Windows you would use any of the names like in the below folder structure.

The Channel is just a forwarder that runs WiiMC from either your Hard drive or SD Card slot. For the channel forwarder to work you should have an appswiimc folder with boot.dol inside on either your SD Card or USB Hard Drive.

    Hope it helps.
