Someone already added support for this.

rodriesKeymasterCould you try this beta?
rodriesKeymasterI’m guessing all of this is a build issue with FreeType…
rodriesKeymasterIt doesn’t need R/W to your SMB folders. The settings and file position are stored on SD/USB – not on the share itself. And no, I don’t know that anyone will solve this for you.

So it sounds like you and I both built from the same sources – but possibly my build is broken somehow? I will try rebuilding some of the dependencies and see if that helps.
rodriesKeymasterNot sure. Maybe it’s trying to open the file in R/W mode instead of R only?
rodriesKeymasterI’ve experienced this too. But I don’t have an answer for you.
rodriesKeymasterDid you read the FAQ? You need to replace subfont.ttf with a Japanese font. You can simply copy the Japanese font WiiMC downloaded for the menu and rename the copy to subfont.ttf.
rodriesKeymasterSo far so good, but you missed step 6 – compile and install the dependencies (fribidi, libexif, and libiconv)
The error you got related to “exif” is a pretty clear indication that you’re missing libexif!
But recompiling won’t fix the symlink problem you had. For one thing, WiiMC is compiled with the latest libext2fs, and secondly, your symlink problem is on Windows (I assume over SMB) – which means libext2fs isn’t even used. The problem is symlinks are unsupported by tinysmb, so someone would have to go into that library and add symlink support.
rodriesKeymasterI set svn:executable – should fix that.
rodriesKeymasterThere are plenty of people who watch over wifi with no problems. If it’s not working for you:
1) You could be running into wireless interference. This is not uncommon.
2) I’ve also seen more than one Wii with a funky Wifi card.
3) Getting a USB ethernet adapter is also an option. That’s what I use and it eliminates any of the signal stablity problems you can have with wifi.rodriesKeymasterYes, the channel installer installs a forwarder channel. Then of course, you can delete the installer.
February 8, 2012 at 4:39 pm in reply to: Slowdown + Audio & Video Temporary Unsync (Just Below 480p) #29934rodriesKeymasterI guess that one is just too much. It’s mainly that it’s x264 – using something less processor intensive like divx something that resolution will play just fine.

Can WiiMC do any windows Domain Authentication ? (Corporate Environment, like Windows Server 2003 for example)
No, it can’t. The SMB implementation is a lightweight one – it doesn’t support everything under the sun. No domains, no active directory, no NETBIOS, no kerberos, etc.
