I just would like to thank the devs here @WiiMC for this super program!
Now for my issue…
Part 1: I can play DVDs fine. A little slower than a regular player but no big deal.
Part 2: I can’t play anything on my USB external drive. (Hitachi 1GB $55.00 special @Newegg and a Rosewill enclosure)
I get a DSI exception with a page of memory dumps and the ‘8 second reboot’. I have HBC installed, running cIOS58, have tried through the WiiMC channel and through HBC. It’s installed on the SD card.
The odd (or not so odd) thing is that I have also installed MPlayer CE. With that, I have the opposite problem–I can play from the USB drive (my MP4 files), but DVDs crash the Wii…
I do plan on running the USB test later and posting results.
