    Hey Guys,

I just got some awesome news from a leet coder who has informed me of the following…
“WiiMC has working VP6 codec now (Thanks to me)”…
Sooo if my boy brokie would like to drop a line here about this or if Tantric could shed some light for us, this would be most excellent, as the next thing on Broken’s list is to implement processors for Navi-X on WiiMC!! Movies and TV Shows for all coming soon!! Apparently, Broken had to fix vp6 for WiiMC before we could implement the processors, which plays back a ton of vp6 encoded content.

Sync IP will only show up if the ip address tagged by the website is different than before. Otherwise, assume sync is working fine. As for the forums, they are pretty messy right now… but I think a forum condensing is in order. 😀

P.S. Navi-X “officially” became the most popular Boxee plugin ever this week… and it’s only been on Boxee for a week!! Freakin sweet!

    Okay…

Question1:Why should I expect WiiMC to know what’s in MY private list and where to find it if WiiMC hasn’t ever asked me for my Navi-X username and password???? Please explain.

    – Our system is setup so users who have not registered at our website get a notice at the top of their Navi-X menu when they enter it in the Wii, About Navi-Xtreme. This should explain what this does basically and where to go to register so your playlists show up here.

Users who have registered at our website have their ip tagged when they visit our site so when your wii comes up on that ip, your playlists automatically populate for just you. If you move or go to a friends house, simply check out the website, click sync ip, and your content will populate automatically when you bring up Navi-X via WiiMC. Your username is then tied to an ip, making all this populating automatic, but you wont see it until you register and have read our noobie message.

Question 2: If in WiiMC, I go to the ‘Settings – Online Media’ page, and click on ‘Online Media Folder’, it is blank.
Am I meant to type something in here?

    – Navi-X, believe it or not has absolutely nothing to do with your Online Media Settings… WiiMC just links to our portal and does basic .plx playlist parsing… that’s it!! Sounds like your WiiMC application does not display these features for some reason… get with Team WiiMC in another forum post regarding this issue.

As for processor links, I specifically made a statement in the very first post of this forum about this but I’ll repeat it here for everyone since I’m getting an ass load of support tickets about it, even though I tried telling every one again and again… one more time, as it bares repeating…

What you need to know about Navi-X inside of WiiMC right now!!… For starters, WiiMC is not yet fully capable of replicating all of the features and functions of Navi-X. This means the only thing WiiMC users will see inside of Navi-X is content that is currently capable of working in WiiMC for playback… we here at Navi-X have filtered out non-working content from our directories automatically for you so when you browse content in Navi-X, you will only see WiiMC compatible content for the time being… This means none of the more incredible features in Navi-X are available in WiiMC’s connection to Navi-X at this time, including Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts, RSS, Text, Pictures or anything requiring a Processor. The good news is, with time and progress; these features may eventually become available for WiiMC users!! As we get the opportunity to port our code over for use in WiiMC, we hope to eventually offer these things as well one day. Until then, you are limited to only direct linking to Video and Audio content that WiiMC can playback.

Making a playlist isn’t hard stuff if you understand what it is you are doing… just like going to Shoutcast or YouTube… making a playlist their is a simple process, but takes some concentration to understand… don’t worry… 4024 users at Navi-Xtreme are using our system just fine and we are about to pickup the Boxee community… with a little bit of reading at our forums, you would have already been where you wanted to be…remember, good things are sometimes a little more difficult to understand at first, but it’s like riding a bike… you get better at it over time.

As for you not finding any content to put in a playlist, it sounds like you haven’t visited our forums yet so I would expect you haven’t read this here or there yet, but I promise it’s noted… you can only link to content directly on the internet… so it has to end with a file extension like this… http://videosite/movie/movie.avi…. or .flv or .mp4, etc…. WiiMC is not able to handle URL redirects at this time, but my buddy on Team Navi-X here is working to help Team WiiMC with this…

You want a link to test???
    http://msnbcpod.rd.llnwd.net/e1/video/podcast/pdv_maddow_netcast_m4v-05-20-2010-112915.m4v

WiiMC claims it can play this back so give it a try.

I hope this was a more thorough explanation to your likings… try to check out forums next time at Navi-Xtreme as I promise all I just discussed is in there. Have a good one!

Good news is, it looks like someone will be making a processor to handle our processors in Navi-X via WiiMC. Will get back to you soon as I hear something.

    Hey Folks,

Good news!! Looks like a good friend of Team Navi-X is engineering a “processor” processor, for processing our processors over at Navi-Xtreme Media Portal, lol!! Good news is not only will this open up content accessibility to WiiMC, but to a whole list of devices as well!! Well keep you posted on the next steps to come!

EDIT: To elaborate, a “processor” processor is exactly what it is… a processor for Navi-X processors… this means essentially that functionality is extended upon 2 processors to get the right url output… no biggie as the “processor” processor is hosted on the same domain, lol! I doubt, but hope this made more sense out there on what exactly a “processor” processor is, ROFL!!

HA!!! Judging by the fact you got quick answers (mine came within an hour from when you posted), maybe you should just post your troubles here and relax a bit. Sometimes I don’t get answers from forum staff or users on other forums for weeks… it’s to be expected sometimes. Patience is important.

Thanks. Let me know if you can enable it cause it is technically in all version in Navi-X. Would be appreciated. Thanks Tantric for getting back to me about the dev support posting as well.

By the way, you should be able to add ShoutCast stations as well. If you want to search some stations, you can also add them to a Navi-X playlist and share with everyone else online, or access them via Navi-X / online media. You all parse .pls right??

LOL!!! This one gave me a good laugh this morning! Relax dude, how much do you know about modding a Wii??? I don’t know anything about it at all, but I know how to mod Xbox’s… it really shouldn’t be rocket science. I admit, the support for WiiMC is definitely lacking as it is strictly user driven and there is not a lot of Team WiiMC correspondence… no doubt.

Realize though that this project has a few devs, no technical support team and really just started very recently. If you think support here is shit, try going to Team Xecuter, FTA forums, or XBMC forums… you’ll really wish you didn’t get help at all after dealing with those guys… their REAL ****, and trust me their even less nice about telling you that you don’t know what you’re talking about, whether it’s true or not.

Just drop a note here and check up every other day… your answer should come eventually. Otherwise, it’s back to reading for you until you figure it out yourself or get too pissed to try using WiiMC. What choice do you really have??

Adult Swim and Cartoon Networks work fine for making a playlist because they link directly to the .flv files on their domain, not statically. If you get a link to a video that looks like this… http://somewebsite.com/media/40897dhx40nrbh0dv46b0.avi, that bunch of garbage for a file name means this file is static and the link will not work in your playlist.

Good news is, if Team WiiMC EVER answers my question in the other forums topic I just posted for Navi-X Dev Help, we may be able to port over the processor interpreter in Navi-X so you all can finally access websites as well.

Question is, will Team WiiMC EVER respond to any of my questions again in the forums… they certainly seem to overlook my topics, while addressing other peoples discussions.

HEEEEEEEEEEEELLLP!!! TEAM WIIMC!!!!! WHERE ARE YOU!!!?!

I believe there is something wrong with WiiMC playing flash video files, both .swf and .flv and of course. we now know WiiMC is unable to play YouTube videos as well. Have you checked the other postings regarding flash video playback?? Anything that shows up in a Navi-Xtreme under WiiMC is definitely supposed to play because we got the extension list directly from Tantric himself. If it doesn’t there is a technical issue with WiiMC. We only link to stuff on the internet and if it’s not compatible with WiiMC right now, it will not show up. (Linking directly to Navi-Xtreme playlists without using the Wiilist system WILL show links that do not work however).

P.S. We also just ported Navi-X over to Boxee today… a release will be available next week finally!

It’s official… WiiMC cannot play YouTube videos yet!! My buddy Turner just told me about it yesterday in the Navi-Xtreme forums. Hopefully this will change soon!

You should put this into it’s own forum post, as I don’t think the Team WiiMC admins check here too often due to looooong postings. Besides, this is a network issue which could be anything… give this one it’s own posting and I’ll bet it gets more attention. I don’t troubleshoot WiiMC so I can’t help you… sorry.
