If you want to use vlc-shares inside your lan only, you don’t have to forward any port.

Example (no port forwarding):

If you want to use vlc-shares with your android phone from outside your lan network you have to open 8081 and 5554 for streaming and 80 for web server

vlc-shares requires the tasklist command that is not available in XP HOME. I hope you added the tasklist.exe file in WIndowsSystem32 folder.

Anyway, i made some changes in r579. Apply changes and confirm, please.

To clear the log:
you only have to go inside the %TMP directory (start->execute->type %TMP->press Enter) and delete the vlc-share.debug.log file.

reading your debug log i found this problem also:

Check “vlc-shares/data/” folder permissions. It looks like is not writable

Can i ask you why you use transcoded mode for megavideo files? Doesn’t it work well in direct mode? (i’m just curious)

Is EasyPHP working? Have you launched it?

If you have skype, teamviewer or other services or programs that use port 80 while you start easyphp, it will no start properly.
